  • Women Only Beginners Rides Near To South Manchester?

    New Year/new start. Female looking for on and off road regular riding group(s) in the Stockport / South Manchester area.
    Any pointers to friendly groups, preferably more on road and easy off road than hell for leather around the Peak District bridleways would be much appreciated.

    My club, Manchester Wheelers, are pretty much exactly what you’re looking for. They do both general “intro” and also women specific rides. Very friendly and you’d be more than welcome on any ride.

    There’s the NWMTB ladies group who are vaguely affiliated with the North West MTB centre – they have a google groups mailing list, drop me a line and I’ll put you in touch with them. You’re welcome to come out with us, not women only but we do have wmone riding with us (mrs nbt, for a start) and welcome anyone who’s friendly
