    I think short cage mechs are only “supposed” to work up to 28T, but I’ve seen them go to 34T at a stretch.

    Don’t blame me if it breaks, OK?

    Yes, but you wont be able to run a big ring up front.
    You’ll be fine on a single front ring and just get away with one on a 22/32 front.

    Yes. Worked fine for me on my SX trail. But i had a 38t chainring.
