A mate of mine has just bought an E5 with one of those weird Big Gripper arrangements. Does anyone know if these are designed to "fail" like a normal mech hanger to protect the mech and frame? If so, looks like replacements will cost more than the usual £15 (rip off) for a simple hanger.
