    The article doesn’t mention if he is to be prosecuted, he faces a heavy prison sentence I would have thought.

    I don’t know why these Walter Mitty characters take such risks in real life – much safer to live out your fantasy life on an internet forum.

    BTW, the article says that he “resigned”. Why do people in high profile jobs never get the sack ?

    He resigned in September 2010 after a TV programme revealed he had falsely claimed to be a former Royal Marine and to have raced in an Olympic bobsleigh event against the Jamaican team depicted later in the movie Cool Runnings.
