Not miserable, bit cheesed off being off work and off bike after a big off 10 days ago but putting it in context, I appear to have no lasting injury despite unconscious and broken nose, plastic surgery to face. Bike is ok, new helmet and new specs on way and teeth/jaw likely to reduce in pain enough to enjoy Christmas dinner with family.

First child this year? Check
Wife lets me touch her bits? Check
New bike? Check
29er? Check
Started your own business? Check
Get to set my own hours and shut over X-Mas? Check

I’ve had a brilliant year and am generally pleased.

Christmas is ruined.

spent last christmas and newyear away from home, ive done 5 months on course 220 miles from home,3 months at sea, and then when we got back from the 3 months at sea it was straight into scotland to do a displaced maintence period (i live in plymouth so that was a 1100 mile a weekend comute to see my family) the boat sailed last week to plymouth for christmas and then sails again in jan and im even duty christmas eve

which in total means about 100 ish days in my own bed this year

BUT i get to spent christmas at home and when your in the forces that really does put a smile on your face 😀
