seem to end up with more vitriol and mud slinging than any of the religion ones ever do?

Someone only needs to pop up with a ‘my right pinky’s a bit sore’ thread and within minutes the various proponents of x or y as the only credible source of pinky pain relief are digging trenches and hurling five syllable words at each other in an effort to prove that their version of science has more long words and must therefore be the best one.

Is it because there’s no ‘right’ answer and therefore everyones opinion is as valid as anyone else’s or is it the sort of job that attracts evangelists who firmly believe that they know best and any other approach to muscular pain relief risks lives?

Is it because there’s no ‘right’ answer

I doubt it’s this, there is no ‘right*’ answer to the relegion ones, or the helmet ones for that matter!

*’Rational’, ‘fitting available evidence’, ‘theoretical’ but never ‘right’!

It’s because the science is unclear or insufficient.

    People are tremendously complicated.
