I’m looking for something to keep the winter out, Part of my job involves me being being outstanding in several fields, visiting farms and other rural type places, what would you suggest?

oh and what bike rack for a C class merc?

I want to say an Alpkit Filo, despite having no experience of their performance.

I’m at a loss as to why I might suggest this 😕

Evidently you are an itinerant scarecrow. So a holey old tweed jacket out to do the trick.

I’ve got a Paramo Aspira jacket. Not cheap, but very very good at it’s job.

    This:

    And only this.

Bailing twine will hold your bike on the roof of your c-class far better than a “traditional” rack, with added “been Farmerd” kudos.

I see that they’re producing a limited edition run of these replica jackets. As worn in the ‘Beat It’ video

The very epitome of rural chic, surely?

Drizabone, mate. Remember to make sure the flaps cover the pockets in the rain or they just fill up with water.
Also, waterproof and good windstopper, but no real insulation, so get
big enough to wear a jumper underneath

as you can see, this is ideal if you are an invisible scarecrow
