I thought it was rather good.

I guess you were the first to finish, judging by the lack of replies
I woke up in Sparkhayes campsite to torrential rain and got off Exmoor asap after some fantastic riding yesterday. How did the weather turn out?

I Did...Tough route, but a few nice technical bits on the long route. Plenty of pushing around that extra 10 mind!

Times are up already.... 18th, not going to complain about that even tho its not a race.
Managed to get all the way out the last 2 climbs too!!
Now to wash the bike and car, d'oh!!Posted 9 months ago # -
Fixed it with a disc rotor bolt, Dibbs?
I generally enjoyed it, especially the run off Dunkery and the 'secret' single track on the long route (someone has put a lot of time & effort into building that stuff). Could have done without the rain, the 'impossible' climb after the single track and the final climb back to the finish (preferred the 'old' downhill finish to Dunster). Having said that, I thought this years route overall was excellent...

I did the long route and was very impressed by it.
Although some of the climbs on the extra loop would have been almost impossible even if it had been dry - in my opinion. Some lovely singletrack and rocky descents. Especially the descent off Dunkery Beacon.
Generally a great ride but very wet.
Did anyone try the showers in the Cricket Pavillion? Hell - they were rough!

Was it back to the old toughness as I gave it a miss this year?

I bumped into a mate at the halfway stop who had not one, but two spare screws in his Camelback

Just out of interest, did anyone log the exact distance of the long route on a GPS or similar (and if so, what was it?)...
