I know how many times this has been asked as i've spent the last couple of days reading em all!! lol But i'm still not sure what or which tyres to plump for so need some advise!!
Currently running Bonty Mud X 2.0's but looking at trying something a bit bigger, currently ride rooty, sandy and muddy conditions which is quite technical downs and climbs, 2 nights a week so could do with plenty of grip but then 1 night a week a ride more clayey, and claggy mud which is more long gradual climbs and downs with a bit of road riding thrown in!!

Keep looking at the Swampthings but not sure if the extra grip i'd get on the 2 nights would out weigh the poor rolling resistance for the less technical ride!!!?
Or if in fact the Bonty's I have are the best compromise??

Nothing is going to be amazing on all those surfaces, I guess you'll only find out by trying.

The clay is yur sticking point (intended) if you go up in size it will only drag loads more, I would stay smaller size wise 2.1 Swampy's dont drag anything like rumour has it, and are fine for all sorts of mud, its what they do. The bigger swampthings get really heavy.

Specialised 'Storm Controls'… Everything but REALLY gloopy stuff in which the back slips around a bit.

Trailrakers will perform well in REALLY gloopy stuf, but less well than the S.C's in enevything else…
