I’m having a nightmare with my front brake one way round the rivets of the floating rotor rub the mount and the other way the pads don’t cover the disk properly

    X2 brake
    160 floating rotor
    Is adapter ‘A’
    Fat back rigid fork

    Thanks

‘A’ facing upwards, or outwards, whichever way it looks like it fits.

As you’ve found the mount will only work one way or the rotors not covered by the pads fully,
the rotor fouling the mount is the hub/rotor spacing, the same thing happens with some other fork/hub combos using floating rotors as well
Some judicious mount filing will need to be done, or solid rotors
