    Thinking about a new bike for next year. I want a light weight, short travel, full suspension bike that I can ride most places & do some racing on. Is that whats called a Marathon bike??
    Want a 24" top tube.
    I've these in mind, but what else should I consider, say under £3K

    Cannondale RZ 120 1
    Turner Flux, SID's, light UST wheels, plus existing groupset & finishing kit.
    Trek Top Fuel 9.

    Not considering;
    Giant Anthem – had one but in between sizes.
    Santa Cruz Superlight – had one &have a Heckler so to similar.
    Specialized Epic – Don't like brain shock idea.

    when you say you want a 24" top tube, what frame size do you want?

    24" effective top tube. So a large, 19", but it will depend on manufacturer. A medium Anthem is slighty too small but a large a bit big.

    What?!? You want a short travel marathon style bike, but your considering trail bikes and not marathon bikes??

    maybe you want a trail bike?

    P.s I know someone will say theres no difference between "marathon" and "trail" bikes but there is, the anthem X is completely different to the trance and trance X series.

    Trek Fuel EX9. Meets requirements pretty nicely. In the 18.5" size the effective TT is 24"
