    Tried Mountain Kings and rather underwhelmed

    Got a 2.2 Race King on the back which seems good but wouldn't risk it up front

    How about a 2.2 Rubber Queen to go with it?

    Good combo. Rubber Queen is a grippy tyre with a good shoulder, and rather large with it; run one at the front on both bikes – Geax Saguaro at the rear.
