Bike daily to work, much is off-road and quite tyre punishing. I got lazy and 'invested' in a Halfords electric tyre inflator to maintain 50bar(dual motor suited for cars/bikes/air beds etc.) - lasted 4 weeks before it spewed smoke and died.
What to you reckon try again or money back and get decent manual pump, if so which?

Keeping the pump at home? If you are, get a track pump
if your bike will take a frame pump they are in a different league to mini pumps.

for my road bike and i dont' even need to bother finishing off with the track pump when i get home
as mini pumps go, get a blackburn. the mamoth or mini-mamoth...super biuld quality and super pumps.
keep a track pump for home though, something like a joe blow
in order of size.(bigger is better)

That one what PeterPoddy has. Dunno what one it is, think it might be a Topeak one. Acts like a mini track pump. Proper tough, too.
Or a £3.99 one out of Decathlon. Cos it'll probbly end up lost anyway.
Or, just have a ride around any trail centre or bike race; you're bound to find one.

Sounds like the Mountain morph, fits in a Camelbak and opens out like a mini track pump. Think mine was £20 ish

Having suffered from real rubbish pumps I got one one these 2 years ago. I'd be gutted if I lost it. But then I discovered CO2. Which is even better.
Anyway - the pump (#Edit - There's no way : I paid £28 for it though!)

+1 for lezyne if you want a dinky commuter pump. Keep a big track pump at home too.
Mountain Morph, or Truflo Evolution is the same concept but better built. Once you've used a pump like these everything else just seems rubbish- they're not that much larger than a mini-pump either.

lezyne all the way, well made, well designed and bombproof, parts can be bought easily although not needed to yet in 2yrs. has a proper screw on connection and not a stupid flippy lever mechanism and that is the weak point that breaks in most pumps.
the bike radar review says all.
edit i mean the minipump, not tried the minifloor type one.
