having missed out on a summer any holiday with the GF due to our work commitments we are thinking about going away in the van for a three weeks over the winter solstice*/new year.

open to any suggestions… other than the Balkans.

Northern Lights…? Southern Italy, or just as far as Finale (no tourists!)…? Spain/Algarve…?

    any experiences or suggestions welcome!

van is fully kitted out with heater and enough water to last a week or more.

*winter solstice as we want to avoid the Chirstmas craziness. CBA with families at Christmas or the needless gifts… besides, mine are in the UK (i’m there next week) and her family get togethers are a bit dull.

A bump for the office crowd….

Also somewhere with the opportunity to ride would be good…

Have read that the northern lights are most active around March.

Southern Spain, the Costa blanca climbing guide has heaps of Christmas/new year climbing pics in glorious sunshine. Probably some great biking to be had out of the summer heat

Yup, southern Spain, Tarifa to be exact.

Take some windsurfing gear, go get wet, grab a winter tan.
