  • Where to get CO2

Go Outdoors have them EIGHT QUID for TWO!

I’d like to get some in real life rather than online, appreciate that online is probably cheaper. Any suggestions?

We don’t have a decathlon. Also there’s no local branch of co2cartridges.co.uk either 🙂

Wiggle used to do a 30 pack for £25 quid.

I’m still working my way through them, but this lot

seem like a bargain compared to that.

    If you’ve got an Evans nearby, they do a box of 30 for £50 ( 😯 ).

I just got some from Wiggles own cheap brand (cant recall name)

I bought 4 about 4 years ago and not used a single one yet

About 0.04% of the air that comes out of your bicycle pump will be CO2. Just use that.

Planet X always have them on offer 99p to £1.99 dependant on size. They are local to us so pick them up in job lots. Alternative is to try the local airport as they have confiscated every one of our daughters this year flying out and flying back.

Tubeless is the reason I need CO2.

CO2 curdles the latex though, fine in an emergency, but not a good idea in the workshop.

Good for popping bead on though 🙂

You mean it instantly turns the latex solid?

Cos no it doesn’t. At least, not when I do it.

You’re luckier than me. Made a right mess of the latex when I did it

So is a DIY compressor (lemonade bottle or fire extinguisher versions), with the advantage of not needing to then deflate to remove the CO2.

Where are you molgrips – somewhere near the Ridgeway I presume

There’s a home brewing shop in headington, Oxford that used to have them cheap – for use in soda siphons and so on

    In Cardiff.

I’ve asked for an Airshot for my birthday….

    So is a DIY compressor

That totally failed to work when I tried it.
