  • Where to get a Rohloff serviced?

My Rohly needs a little more than just an oil change (sprocket carrier knackered and freewheel slipping, possibly from attempts to loosen said carrier)
I know I could send it back to Rohloff, or just to SJS, but it’s built onto a 29×3 wheel so it needs a massive box. Is there anywhere in the north (east) of England who can fix Speedhubs so I could deliver it myself?

Id chew the bullet and get the box and ship it directly to Rohloff.

You;ll get a good service there and Id bet that if they found something not 100% they’d replace the worn part for free or something.

Speedhubs are too valuable IMO to have cheap servicing.

Coincidentally I just ordered some oils from SJS last night as now Im using mine again I cant be sure how much oil is still inside the hub and whether much fell out of it whilst in storage for 4 yrs. It may well be fine, but for a halfpenny of oil I dont want to risk a £500 hub

Pretty sure no one other than Rohloff can do a proper service on them.
