All the usual places only seem to have the right cone for this Shimano rear hub – the left cone has a different part number so I guess it’s not the same thing…

Can’t believe how quickly it deteriorated, came on a brand new bike and has only done 1,000 miles tops – cone and bearings already rough as sandpaper! Any tips for making sure the next one lasts longer? What kind of grease should I be putting in there?

Have you looked under the fridge?

what is the part number to save me hunting through the docs. I will see if Madison have one in.

Looks like it is not possible to get on it’s own,.

You may be best ordering the whole axle kit at £9.99 to get one… hammer to crack a nut and all that but it would be worth keeping this in your spares box should you need other parts.

Madison call it 3SE 9802 and back in stock in August….

According to the Wheels Manufacturing website you can fit their number 5 cone to that hub. Madison part number is WMCNR005 and it is in stock.
