Thinking about this Summers trip which will be a little different to last years Megavelanche with friends. This year will be taking the Girlfriend.

Im torn between going to Morzine and getting a liftpass or taking the hardtail and doing a week of guided technical trail riding. Something similar to FreeRideSpain in the Sierra Nevada which was fantastic!

Or is it possible to do a bit of both? – will have the car so could travel between destinations – could even take 2 bikes.

Where’s the best place to ride natural trails in the Alps?

Even the bike park trails feel natural, and the weather is much nicer than further north. Loads of other options near by as well, the FFC centre in Barcollenette (20k North) has some really ace riding as have the hills around the Verdon Gorge. Pra Loup and Chabaanon are also nearby for further park action.

Never been (except skiing) but Verbier seem to get many votes for that kind of riding. I’d love to go there myself, one day…
