2nd hand f they are in decent nick.

they are for my hardtail so commuting, with the kids, XC, trail centres.
I’ve got a bigger bike for the more burly riding.

Sealed cartridge bearings, a quality set of wheels. With the discount, that’s £120. Bargain!!!

For that job I bought Crossrides – very happy with them.

binners – they are 200g heavier than the superstar or pro2 that I’m looking at. Don’t like the 24 spoke either.
I’m 6 foot 6, 13 stone and want something strong ish too.

I have had a pair of the superleggera hubs since 2009/10. They were on their vapour rims. I’m told their own brand rims are actually made by mavic. They were light and never went out of TRUE even under my bulk. The bearings have been swapped twice, and I like the hubs so much I’ve had them rebuilt with flows.

Serviced first time this year, nothing needed replacing, but if needed all spares available.
Really good wheelset, done all the south welsh trail centers plus years of cross Beacons rides, and I’m not a little bloke

I’ve got them on the hardtail, and I’m more than 13 stone, and I’ve had no issues with them.

Just had a look at the Superstars and they look good for the money. You can’t go wrong with Pro 2’s though. They’re bomb-proof.

+1 for the Fulcrums. 13st here too. Had them on my hardtail for exactly the same riding as described by OP. They’re fast & strong wheels. I’d have them again no question.
