Trying my hand at wheelbuilding, building a 24″ disc wheel for my boy’s Trek.
I can’t get my head round the lacing pattern needed – 24″ wheel, 32 hole, 2 cross, Front wheel. Does anyone have a pic or a guide?
I’ve tried to work it our from the pics on the web of 36h 3cross, but my brain is really aching tonight.

    Why 2 cross in particular?

2 cross will probably be fine, but 3x is better and the spokes will only be a couple of mm longer.

And yes, when you’re lacing it, 2x can look a little odd. Only built one wheel 2x ever, and rather than going under/under/over, you have to go under/over, if that makes sense?

Sheldon Brown, the sadly departed encyclopedia of all things cycling comes to the rescue again:

Using 2x to keep weight down and knowing it’ll be fine. (He don’t weigh much!) 3x is +10mm on spoke length.

sheldonbrown does not illustrate a 2x – it just says ‘adjust to suit’.
anybody got a pic of the pattern?
