Was on my hybrid built rockhopper and dropped off a step about 2ft high onto concrete. Had skinny slicks on and have knackered me wheel up.
Got some Mavic Crossrides and have created a flat spot on the rear and a slight buckle, that'll teach me!! Can you get a flat spot out the rim by tightning/loosening spokes or is it new rim time, any help appreciated.

Depends how flat it is. If it's more than a couple of mm you probably won't get it out though you can tighten the wheel up do it's adequately strong but it won't be completely round.

Have a look at the Sheldon brown wheel building guide (google it) which is very good.
