Summers day, on the cornish beach at sunset, waves still crashing and the crack of a beer can being opened. That’s how I envisage this year’s trip as we have a cottage near the beach so no driving 😉

Snipe ‘drumming’, especially because you only hear it in the evenings in remote places, so you’re probably out camping, bonus! 8)

Close second is Curlew calling, for much the same reasons.

The muffled sound in the morning following a heavy fall of fresh snow.

My little boy giggling.

Tyres scrabbling for grip in a hard carved turn.

Children laughing, anyone’s kids really, but esp mine.
And, the sound of my camper van sliding door – it means we ar out having fun somewhere.

Ditto, then maybe a quiet spot up a hill after a long climb, has to have an accompanying view for the full effect.
And possibly the FH buzz/clatter/clatter/scuff, sounds of the descent after..

The sound of skis through fresh powder when there’s no one around.

The most mesmerising sound I’ve ever heard was a massive salt water croc snapping it’s jaws shut – it’s not like you expect it to sound like, it’s a bit like two massive cricket bats being hit together really hard, it’s VERY loud too.

I was at Austrialia Zoo and it was leaping out of the water at a bit of chicken on a string.

One of the most mind blowing things I’ve ever witnessed.

Worst sound? Car crashes easy, even small ones (crashes not car park taps) are a million times louder than you think they should be and hard to explain the sound if you’ve not witnessed it.

Oh I nearly forgot – the funniest sound is a clip on YT of a huge policeman being tasered, he makes a really girly Eeeeeeeeee noise.
