It looks like something bolts on to it but I can't think what it would be. I know it's stopping me from fitting a bigger rotor though. Any ideas?

I was half joking but couldn't think of anything else that would go there .Strange to see that on a reasonable bike though.I know they are more common on the continent

I can't remember which brand of bike but some one did make a bash guard for disc rotors, it could be for that.

shame, a bash guard for the rotor would have been so much cooler.

Umm…don't Rohloff hubs have some sort of arm that would bolt onto something like that?

is it a dedicated mount for scott's own Engerlund flag ?

or something to do with rohloffs

or maybe a vase for flowers

    or a cadence sensor

(or anything else, to make twohats cross 😉 )

its a useless flat welded plate with two rubber grommets, would have thought that much was obvious
its otherwiswe known as a 'B-DUB' or bigger disc upgrade buggerer

Good to see one manufacturer specifying locating holes for the torque arm of a Sturmey-Archer drum brake 🙂
