Currently wide awake at 1am in a Lisbon hotel room with a song in my head that I heard two nights ago. Can’t find the name of it anywhere so will ask the STW Hive!
I think its a 2013/2014 song, but am not 100% sure.
The only thing I that I can remember is the haunting electronic organ/keyboard chords played in the chorus.
Sounds a bit like Blackpool style wurlitzer but playing a 9 or so not riff that then drops an octave and repeats.

I need a name for this ear worm that has invaded my head.
    😉

Could be “the look” (think that’s what it’s called) by metronomy

Sorry for the delay in reply…was travelling and then back at work.
    STW does it again.

I have now listened to a few more of their tracks and fear that this might be their one hit…any other suggestions for equally enchanting music (from this or other groups in a similar style). 🙂

just listening on spotify now. Everything goes my way is OK. Will resist skipping to the tracks you suggest! Ta. [edit] oops, realised that I had already heard em both….good background music, but not memorable in the main.

Never much good at the ‘if you like that you’ll like this’ game, and I only know Metronomy from the songs I hear on 6Music, so I’m struggling, rather.
I could recommend a whole load of recent tracks I’ve tagged via Shazam and BBC Playlister, and you can check them out if you like; I tend to buy a lot of individual tracks that way, only buying whole albums when certain of the consistency.
There will be quite a variation, I like quite a wide variation in styles.

Saw them live about 6 months ago. More to them than that one track.
