Got a tired looking 2008 Cube AMS 125 that currently has some 2007 Coil Pikes on.

The Cube needs new bearings all round (about £40 in total) and the Fox Shock, although running fine, I would like to have serviced (£90ish).

The Pikes seem to work fine but need an oil/seal service (£22) and a damper service is long overdue. TBH I am reluctant to pull the damper as I reckon there could be a lot of parts in there that have worn together and disturbing them will fubar the thing.

Current plan is to service everything except the compression damper and hope it all keeps working until I can save for some newer tapered secondhand forks next year.

Alternatively I could put a little bit towards the costs of servicing the Cube and buy a secondhand hardtail frame that will take a tapered steerer, run it with the Pikes until I can get some tapered forks next year.

    So what would you do?
