    I’d use and axe to chop, saw’s are a little flimsey. lol

    But if your cutting it down, climb or ladder up it and top it off, working your way down (obviously)till your left with a trunk.

    Small Chain saw would be my weapon of choice with a decent Bow saw a close second

    What Flashheart says……….chopping down/destroying a tree, is part of the manhood rite of passage.

    axe main trunk bow saw to reduce size prior to timber moment

    Carlos speaking most sense (in his second para anyway). If you want to take out the root ball too, make sure you leave plenty of the trunk in (10ft +) so you can rope the top and lever it out.

    If it were me I would pay someone to do it (and I spent a summer being a ‘paid someone who did it’ many years ago).
