Hi folks, I’m trying to source a replacement for my old D521 rims to get an old bike back on the trails. It’s for a v-brake equipped bike.

I’d like to try the “tape the new rim to the old and swap the spokes over” trick but obviously need to know that the new rim will fit ok. Minimal cost is good as the bike is going to get just occasional use.

    Cheers.

EX721 is the exact same rim, with new fangled marketing sprinkled on it!

Got EX721’s and EN521, the EN’s are 50g lighter and seem as tough nice trail rims

Thanks for the replies. Never could figure out Mavic’s numbering system!

Seems a new EX721 is about £50 which doesn’t really fit with my minimal cost requirement. I could buy a pair of built wheels for less than a pair of these rims…

rp16v, how much are you after for the 32 hole D521?
