My dear old Mum has bunged me a few quid because that’s the kind of son I am

I could spend it on sh*t we don’t need for the house
I could spend it on a family weekend break or a short holiday
    I could save it
Or I could spend it on some new Boxxers that I seriously don’t need

I’m hoping you well-balanced unselfish people can help me put things into perspective – what would you do

Rainy day. If you don’t need anything; squirrel it away.

Save it – you buy those boxxers and a month from now your frame will crack/boiler will explode.

I completely misread that as “What to do with a small windFARM?”

maybe you should install a turbine in the backgarden?

    Family holiday gets my vote….*
If only because I spent with last wee windfall on a trip to Oz…. a little bequest from my grandad, whose working life was spent as a travel agent, just seemed the right thing to do…. that said, it was just me on that trip 🙂

    Edit
*thereby making a healthy deposit in the Royal Bank of Brownie Points for when you next require new Boxxers, or a lads weekend away – a wise investment, if ever there was one.

I thought you were looking for (another!) new frame? You should buy one of those cheap Nukeproof Megas and bin off that dated Yeti you keep riding. 🙂

Dropper post, crash-cam, new pyjamas, stuff like that? If you order enough things then it’s like an extra Christmas when it all arrives!

split it 3 ways. spend some on fun (bike stuff) some sensible (house stuff) some on ‘stuff you wouldn’t have done with out the money’ (holiday).

    job done.

Morzine and promise her lots of photos of you ENJOYING her gift to her.

Think of it this way, if I (or you) gave money to someone you’d love it if they went onto enjoy it. Not just ‘oh yes I bought a Skoda Fabia mum with the money’. Wow, mundane every day stuff. Forks she cant understand either.

If I gave someone money and they bought a XR2000 Carbon fishing set up I’d be like err whats that? Knowing someone went away, had good clean fun with lots of pics would do it for me.

    ^^ the voice of reason

I guess you’re right several hundred pounds is a preposterous amount of money to spend on some bicycle forks

True though. I’ve no idea what fancy fishing kit is. Mrshora hasn’t a clue what a bike bit does or what pleasure it gives. Its just ‘bikes’.

Me grinning, raising a pint, looking dusty, sat in a Jacuzzi, etc etc with me saying wow it was bloody brilliant – would really put a smile on the persons face though 🙂

Nearly a page of posts, and nobody has suggested converting it to £20 notes, throwing it on the bed and rolling about in it naked ? This forum is getting way too grown up…

I suggest spending it on cheap whores. just take one & if it doesn’t work call me in the morning

    How about a compromise?

Buy the Boxxers, go to Morzine, and take loads of photos of you enjoying the shit out of the new forks? Everyone’s a winner.

Take the family down the bookies and drop it all on a 50:1 nag.

That way they get a day out and if you win, bonus.
