What I used to do was pick a number and have that. Or failing that, choose something from the chef’s special bit of the menu, I’ve had some gems from there.

I’d go for the hot and dry fried stuff (beef/chicken/pork) and steer clear of sauces (chow mein stylee), special fired rice (the one with the leftovers in) and sweet and sour chicken balls in batter and of course the sauce.
Mini Spring rolls are a must, prawn crackers too, so too hot and sour soup or miso.
