    Does anyone know which Shimano road 9 speed cassette has an alloy carrier cage, to run on a Hope free hub, I’ve fitted a 12-26 but it has no cage so I guess its going to wreck the alloy hub.Thanks

    Get an Ultegra 6500, or Dura-Ace if money is not an issue.

    They have 2 alloy carriers for 123 and 45, 6789 are single steel rings.

    Check the detail at Shimano Technical pages.

    There was a Dura-Ace 9-speed on these classifieds yesterday….hmmm.

    Less torque on the road IME, so freehubs don’t tend to get damaged as quickly.
