Work are finally sorting out the cyclescheme stuff, but I don’t knkow what to get.

I’ve already got a 456, road bike and a commuter (orange gringo hack).

The only thing I can think of is either a new commuter (like a road rat) or a more racey mtb.

What do you reckon? Limit is £1000

I would speak to your LBS who runs the scheme. My is willing to supply either a frame only or allow me to add to the £1000 limit. They said as long as they had a frame number to put down on the paperwork…….
This then opens up a much bigger picture 🙂

Well – I have just done my first commute on a shiney new Genesis Croix De Fer and it is excellent – and just about fits in the limit of £1000.

I would be very careful with a RoadRat – a guy I work with was told he could get one, but when all was said and done and the money was sorted out Halfords changed their mind. Luckily, he has managed to sort it out through On Yer Bike, but it’s been a lot of hassle.

Road rat has crossed my mind.

18Bikes – whilst not local – do Cotics and is eligable so I’ve been thinking getting a soul with some decent forks and doing a transplant.

Would I get away with this?
