    Lets make one up:

To kick off with they'll probably have a Inbred which they're running SS. 😉

    What else?

    They'll be overweight.

I've seen the Urbandictionary definition of a STWer, just thought you lot might be able to come up with something a wee bit more original and funny.

Probably drive more than they ride.

I have to say as an infrequent visitor to STW, the Urban dictionary description just about sums up the stereotype I generally have in mind…

That said I’m sure most of you are nothing like that in real life… Right?

Quite a few seem to be joyless pedants with high self esteem, judging from some recent comments.
Er, although not one of the, er, 'regular in-crowd', I do actually own a rigid, OnOne singlespeed……………….amongst others. 😉

erm………………like a "light ale" too much, hence why I was at the back of the ride on Sunday.

Mind you I do have an audi, I'll get my coat!

The Urban Dictionary sums you lot up perfectly. I am, however, currently shelving plans to SS my Inbred whilst I go and practice 3ft drops.

    Singlespeed? Check
    Beard? Check
    Estate car? Check
Not actually ridden a bike in months? Check

They'll 'talk a good ride' on here, plus mention that they own a singlespeed at every opportunity,in an attempt to 'fit in' with the niche crowd. 😉

I've met a fair few STWers and to generalise, they are:

    Either male or female
    Aged between 20odd and 50ish
Ride a rigid, hardtail, 3" full suss, 4" full sus or 5" full sus
Live in the North, South or somewhere in between
    Also road ride, or not
Are overweight, underweight or somewhere in between
Have facial hair, or are clean shaven
Work in IT, an office, or a manual skilled job.
Are usually very good company on a ride and know their way around better than me.
    🙂

"Hey john, where did you get that fancy new bike?" "Its actually not new at all, I bought it off some **** with more money than sense on singletrackworld. He clearly couldnt ride for toffee, just like the rest of those asshats"

    "high self esteem"

I think the kind of reactions I think you're talking about, i.e. "cocks", arise from low self-esteem.

I'm only 26 and in very good shape and I can't touch my toes.
