Is there anything other than gels that I can realistically use for ride fuel in the heat? Yearning for weather cold enough to make flapjack for.

The melting point of haribo jelly babies is about 36 degrees, I discovered last year.

But I am eating the same stuff I always eat tbh. Flapjack is fine in the sun surely?

I’ve got 30 degrees here every day at the minute, so anything like flapjack is melting very quickly.

Normal stuff like cereal bars and sandwiches? Seem to cope fine in the sweltering heat in Oz.

Fig biscuits & soreen, no butter tho,
Black friars from holland & barrat are alright in this heat.

I’m bobbing my camel back in freezer with a litre of water and the. Filling up with ice and water it keeps things cool ish for a bit,

Another few months we will all be asking how to keep things dry 😐

Mr Kipling’s Angel Slices managed to get me through a bit of a blood sugar low yesterday. I’d seriously underestimated how much grub to take with me.
