Last night I found a pre-MT500 Endura MTB Jacket which I forgot I had, its come up nicely with some NikWax.

Got to be £70 worth, nice find!

    I don’t have a bike shed. 😐

All I have is a long list of old items required for Susan the Commençal that I can’t seem to find.

It’s the opposite for me – there’s stuff I know I’ve got, but can I damn well find it??! Can I …

Like the silver Middleburn Oilers I never used. Where are those little bastewards??

Similarly I lost a pair of Rudy Projects when we moved house. I found them floating in our pond six weeks later, undamaged.

Next doors’ cat. He used to live there until he learnt how to use our cat-flap this Winter; he now lives in our kitchen, which contains 2 bikes, so he probly feels at home. Even though home is next door.

Two sets of 20mm Pro2 adapters.

I found these as I started fitting the new set I’d just bought 🙁

Anyone need some 20mm adapters? I have two spare sets.

Couple of weeks ago I found some original Hayes HMX-1 hydro-mechanical disc brakes tucked away on a shelf (they use cables from the levers to activate a master cylinder in the caliper – bonkers!).

The seals probably need replacing – no idea where I’d get them from now – but I don’t have the heart to throw out such retro-tastic goodness!

I’ve got a nice set of wheels I could supply with either QR, 15mm or 20mm adapters 😉 or all 3 actually…

Currently I can’t get into the shed, I’ve been using it to store wood offcuts from the workshop build, only there’s so much, it’s virtually filled the thing. Somewhere under it all is some garden furniture and a lawn mower…

Last month I bought an ISCG-old chain device from someone on here, went out to fit it and instantly spotted, lying on the floor under the motorbike stands, a nice Gamut one I’ve had for years and never fitted to a bike.

A Jacques croquet set, not in great shape unfortunately but they’re expensive things. Plan to play crazy croquet when the summer comes – crazy as my lawn isn’t quite up to competition standards.

Is it possible you have a Stargate-like portal in your garden…?

    Hey, trail_rat,

is that an eccentric bb frame? I had one fail, they replaced it under warranty. Give them a call.

It can be rewelded, but it took 45 mins for a pro to get mine to stick, dissimilar metals [ss lug to cromo shell].

I posted something similar a while ago – in the middle of the night I think, and nobody replied 😥

Just been on ebay looking for a rapid rise mech

By chance (hadn’t occurred to me to do this as part of the process) I found TWO mechs, both pretty much pristine, in the garage this morning
Had another look around & found a rollamajig and a pair of jumpstops too. Totally unaware before this morning.

No bids made, no harm done

Nope – they’re dropouts, but for a specific bike for a very specific purpose.

I had a story about one of those as a kid. Some teenager used to fly around the South Pacific getting into scrapes. He’d filled the wings with ping pong balls for bouyancy in case he was forced to ditch it. I was gripped 🙂
