Looking to pick up a gravel bike for long mixed terrain touring duties.

Anyone potted anything around at the mo around the £1k figure that would be worth a look.

Have spotted a Salsa Warbird over at Charlie The Bikemongers going cheap and the Pinnacle Arkose look fairly tidy for the money over at Evans Cycles…

That Warbird looks lovely. He’s only got it in big or very huge sizes.

Planet X cyclocross bikes look good value at the moment and Halfords had a good price on the boardman team. Again another cx bike but a tyre change should sort it. The Salsa is very nice though, certainly the looker out of all of them.

I’ve been trying to justify one for winter rides – something with much larger tyres to deal with our crap roads (my road bike will only take 23c tyres), clearance for full guards and disc brakes for wet braking.

I’ve been looking at the Fuji Tread & the Norco Search – look like nice options, although I’ve been looking nearer the £500 range, than £1k.

That warbird looks mint. Right size for me as well, but my Arkose 2 is doing me just grand right now
