    Hello

What’s the best free/cheap GPX editor that uses UK OS maps and runs on a mac?

I’m using maptogps.com right now but its much more of a viewer than editor.

    Cheers 🙂

Depends what you mean by editing, but Where’s the path may work for you.

Adze is a decent editor but it costs some cash – can’t recall how much. Looks nearly worth it..

GPX files are essentially XML files and can be edited quite easily with a basic text editor though some knowledge of XML is useful to say the least.

Garmin Basecamp – its free, and pretty good for editing GPX files. It doesn’t have OS maps, but you can add free OpenStreetMap maps.

i use the bike planner through the british cycling membership, and paid for 1:24k maps (i think). I tried route buddy but it worked out quite expensive with the maps required so stopped after the demo
