  • What glue for putting sole back on carbon shoes?

    Managed to get the sole to fall off me disco slippers, tried some unibond uber glue stuff – lasted about an hour dispite clamping the sole to the shoe for about 12hrs.

    Araldite rapid epoxy resin. It sets in minutes.
    Good prep of the surfaces is key to get a good result.
    Lightly sand and clean off the surfaces to give the resin a key, apply, wait 5 minutes and ride.
    If you need the shoe to flex for walking, (not full CF footbed) mix 66% resin with 34% hardener for more elasticity in the resin.
