What do you do with old bike bits, tubes and tyres?
Seems a waste to throw them out 🙁

If they are usable but not worth anything, there are lots of Bike Station type places around that will take them off your hands to patch up as part of old bike rebuilds. I’ve handed some tatty old wheels etc in before now.

Yeah same here. Bike station or the young lads who constantly wreck stuff! Swap them for trailbuilding time.

make lots and lots of rubber bands.
though you can patch a tube millions(…) of times.
and I wear the tyres down until the threads are showing.
never thrown away any other bits, they always come in useful.
asides from bearings and tacoed rims and worn out cassettes.

i must have about 30 tubes hanging waiting to be patched when i can be arsed. Only one of of them has been put to use the last couple of years and it wasn’t patched just cut to be a chainstay protector

If they’re in decent nick I punt them to pay for new bits (this was the only way I could justify the purchase of my 575)..
Sometimes pass them on to others for them to use.
If not in good nick I just keep them in the garage, just in case they might prove to be useful at some point in the future..
