Different models suffer different problems. Which ones are you looking at?

my 55 etas are perfect (after they had the updated cartridge installed!)
they seized on me in the Alps last summer – somewhat annoying on the first run of the week…

I have some 2009 55 ATA's; my first set gradually sunk in their travel, and it appears that my 2nd set – warranty replacements – are doing the same. I've only used the 2nd set for about 4 hours of commuting and the 1st set were used for about 4 rides in total, so I'm not overly impressed.

When they work they are very good – much better than Pikes, but this is only when they work. Unfortunately this seems to be not very often. The 2010 versions are supposed to be better. We'll see.
