Fridge/freezer that is out there now packs up when temp drops, thinking a chest freezer might work better (yes or no) does not have to be massive...
would be nice if it was cheap as well

What Chest freezer for Garage/outside room??

A lot of fridge/freezers only have one thermostat, in the fridge compartment. The freezer relies on the fridge plant doing some work to keep the fridge cold for it to freeze. Fine indoors, and when you're going in the fridge regularly, but in the winter in the garage the fridge stays cold enough without ever triggering the 'stat and fridge plant.
That's fine for the fridge but not for the freezer...
A stand alone freezer or better quality fridge/freezer with independent thermostats will be fine.

Try and get one from a freebie site, won't cost you anything and it'll save the Polar Bears.
Just got rid of mine, more room for bike fettling now.

we've got a Bosch fridge freezer with two pumps in the garage and seems to keep temps ok in both.
fridges are much less efficient in cold rooms too, I think.
