    Which should I go for?

    SRAM PC991, Shimano XT or XTR, something else?

    Can anyone confirm that SRAM powerlinks work with Shimano chains. I am fairly sure they do.

    I like 991’s personally, and yes, you can use powerlinks with shimano chains.
