Might have some time to kill in the smoke this week; can anyone suggest a good bike shop for a bit of browsing, preferable with a decent stock of clothing? (More interested in clothes/kit than bikes themselves)

for browsing i'd head to a large branch of Evans such as the one near Liverpool street (also opposite cycle surgery), or take the underground to Canada Water and look round Decathlon, loads of cheap stuff there (check out the running section too).

Laptop in the Hide Bar at London Bridge and look at Wiggle and CRC.

Trundle along to Condor, lots of clothing and expensive things to look at.

Aye Condor's good to peruse. Although they seemed to have a lot less in stock last time I went. Nice Rapha Condor Di2 equipped bike to play with though!

If you get to Waterloo there are 2 big Evan's within 300 yards of each other. One is more MTB, the other more Road. Both have lots of bits to look at and loads of clothing. Then there is also an action bikes across the river on Embankment.
