I’m building up a Croix de Fer and understand that quality cabling is important for these brakes. Will the usual spiral outers be fine or should I be using the ones that look more like gear cable outer? Do they cope with being under bar tape?

I use standard brake spiral cable. no doubt compressionless would be better but I have plenty of power as is so haven’t bothered changing.
