  • What brakes with SRAM Gripshift?

    I have SRAM X0 gripshift on my MTB, and am currently using Hope Tech X2 brakes with are about 5 years old now, so I’m thinking of an update.

    I have thought of the XT or XTR, but read quite a bit about the short brake lever not working well with Gripshift. What about Formula? Magura?

    What do you recommend?

    Running Tech M4’s on mine so probably the same lever. Know someone running XTR’s on some but it does probably depend on your hands and positioning.

    I have XT’s with XX1 gripshift and they seem fine for one finger braking..

    XTs with 10 speed Gripshift work fine.
