I’m mechanically inept, but would like to know what BB’s are compatible with the Truvativ Firex chainset? I got one with my Genesis Fortitude SS, and after 18 months of abuse, it is creaky. So I thought I would get the bike ready for more winter abuse.. What BB do I need?

Almost certain it is a sram GXP one. Any sram GXP will fit.

If you’re fussy you can get a GXP adapter for Hope or even for stupidly expensive Chris King.

Creaky doesn’t mean BB is shot. Could be anything, like just needs a clean up and regrease, or even the hub or mech creaking.

Check for play by pulling the crank arms back and forth. If there’s play, check crank is torqued up correctly (very high torque on GXP), but otherwise yes replace BB is easy option.
