You could argue frozen was more aimed at girls.
Kinda my point, but I should clarify.
The likes of Frozen is more likely to appeal to a female audience, and Star Wars to male. But there’s no reason whatsoever why girls might not like Star Wars too, and should be allowed if not actively encouraged to do so. Anecdotally, a mate of mine’s young son is obsessed with Frozen. Gender stereotyping is lazy and, on the whole, not a good thing.
Discourage a young girl from liking Star Wars now because it’s not pink enough, you might’ve just crushed the future career of an amazing engineer. But it’s ok, I’m sure she can be a secretary or something.
If this is an ongoing event, why not alternate? Frozen last year, Star Wars this year, My Little Pony the next. (There is an absolutely astonishing number of “Bronies” kicking around, the last sci-fi / geek con I went to had an entire track devoted to it.)
