  • What am I doing wrong … creaky headset driving me nuts

    Got a new frame and transferred all my kit over incl. a newish King headset which ran perfectly on the old frame. Now on the new frame it creaks and has lightly scored/marked the steerer tube. Switching to an old non-King headset, there’s no creaking. Re-fitting and re-adjusting the King headset has proved hopeless.

    I’ve had a couple of Kings before with no probs and it ran fine on the old frame. Any clues what to do? (And it does have the plastic ‘washer’).
