I am looking for a new set of wheels and am not sure what to go for, I want something relatively light but also strong enough and I don’t have an unlimited budget. I have been recommended Bontrager Rhythms, about £200 and fairly light, but are they durable?

Any other recommendations?

I also need some lighter tyres as my nevegals seem rather weighty…

I am running wtb prowler tyres. Dirt cheap off eBay and they are pretty good, especially for the money.

I looked into this a bit when trying to source 29er wheels, similar budget and requirements. Anyway I plumped for DT swiss X470 rims with Hope hubs and DT comp spokes, I reckoned they were a good balance of price and weight. So far they have stay true. They are my only 29er wheels though so have naught to compare. I shod these with Maxxis Ardent 2.25 which are also nice.
