I’m about to go looking for a set of 130 to 140mm travel forks to use as a back up set when I send my existing forks off for a service. (2 week turn around due to my location)

Currently trawling the bay, but does anyone have any suggestions for something that works well but isn’t going to be overly expensive as they’re only likely to get 2 weeks of use every 6 months to a year.

    Cheers.

Learn to service your forks yourself? It’s quite easy…

Is it really worth it for 2 weeks use once a year

I struggle to get the bits over here. I can’t even get Fox bits, so you can imagine how hard it is to get Pace bits.

I’ve serviced my forks in the past, so it’s not a problem, but the availability of spares is.

As for the 2 weeks a year, If I don’t ride I don’t earn any cash!

Tora 318 solo air’s. They’re ideal and cheap (think <£100 on ebay)

But that would mean me buying a new front wheel as well by the sounds of it. Nice as it would be, I’m trying to do this on a “budget” 😆

why not just call who you get to service them, to supply parts?\

tf/mojo happily supply seals/parts if you call and ask…

Belt and braces approach really, I might get them stripped and then find I need something extra only to have to wait anyway.

Maybe I’m being over cautious. But I’m just happier that way.

where do you live if you have to wait so long for parts? it sounds like an ideal place, very remote.
