    Washed up the other day on the local beach. Could not miss this one, I wonder who it belonged to ?

    About 8 ft tall. Location River Severn/ Bristol Channel.

    It’s a special mark, so not one of trinity houses. Doesn’t look like it has any sensors on, Try Bristol port authority.

    Report it to the Maritime and Coastguard Agency’s receiver of wreck. There’s a form you can fill out. There’s a reward for finding washed up stuff with value and if no one claims it then its yours iirc

    As jambo said, that’s a “special mark”. Used to show the position of things like sewer pipes, power cables in shallow water etc.

    Not a data buoy.

    They would normally have some kind of indication who owns it or lettering that would show where it should be.

    Not that big as things go.

    Returned to owner. I rang them up and they collected the next day.
